Finding Peace & Perspective
Those who know me well are certainly aware that I do not particularly enjoy the long, harsh winters or the biting cold winds that accompany them. Of course, living in the beautiful state of Vermont, we are faced with both challenges every single year. Our winters, with their frigid temperatures and heavy snowfall, often seem to stretch on indefinitely, and I find myself eagerly counting down the days to the much-awaited arrival of the vibrant and refreshing spring season as soon as winter truly sets in. However, I am actively working on finding and appreciating the unique beauty in the serene, snowy landscape that surrounds me, all while trying not to rush time as we transition to the next season. After all, life is already too short and fleeting, and I want to savor each moment. The gentle snow sprinkling the tops of the tall, majestic trees gives me a wonderful sense of peace and calm amidst the chilly air and the stillness of winter, reminding me that there is beauty to be found even in the coldest of times.
